Child and family therapy

Children can’t always put their feelings into words. We speak with them in a language they understand — through play, drawing and stories.

Sessions are in Armenian or Russian — at the center or online.

  • Fears, anxiety, trouble sleeping
  • Aggression, defiance, behavior problems
  • Adjusting to kindergarten and school
  • Shyness, trouble making friends
  • Changes in the family: divorce, moving, a new brother or sister
  • Counseling for parents — online too

How it works

  1. Meeting the parents

First we talk with you: what worries you and what you hope will change.

  2. Meeting the child

The child settles into the room and gets to know the specialist. Trust comes first.

  3. Sessions

We work through play, drawing and conversation — suited to the child’s age and pace.

  4. Staying in touch with parents

From time to time we meet with you to share what is changing and how to support your child at home.

Questions

In Armenian or Russian — we don’t currently offer sessions in English. Not sure your Armenian or Russian is enough for therapy? Message us and we’ll talk it through.

Tell them in simple words where you’re going: to see a grown-up they can play, draw and talk with about what worries them. Don’t frighten them, and don’t promise that “nobody will ask you anything”.

It depends on what’s going on with your child. Sometimes a few sessions are enough; sometimes the work takes months. After the first meetings we’ll discuss which format suits your child.

Message or call us — we’ll answer your questions and find a time that suits you, at the center or online.
